Had
a busy the past few months & days. We've gotten all the school shopping done (for the
most part). Got some amazing outfits for the kids, all the new socks,
panties & boxers. Shoes. And lastly the important -actual- school supplies.
Shoes you say? Oh lord shoes. We still need to get Aysia's
tennis shoes for gym and recess, but she's got some beautiful leather knee high boots equipped
with their own little wedge heel and another pair of ankle boots (flats)
that will go great with her skinny jeans. She LOVES her boots and has worn
them since they were rung up at the store. Dontae & Marcus got some kick ass shoes as well. We hit up Element on the strip and hooked the boys up. Dontae has some Rockstar Etnies, black with yellow and Marcus got some white and black Fallen's. They both love their shoes and they look hawt in them! Our children are growing up so fast.
Spent last night going
through both of the dressers weeding out old stained clothes and the oh
so too small's. It's nice to have children near the same sizes, though Dontae is one pant size larger than Marcus. But, all the South Pole jeans that are in amazing condition go right to Marcus and we didn't have to spend a dime on jeans for him. Great money saver right there.
All the good condition clothing is on it's way to a
store in Mauston that gives out free things to the one's in need. Two
huge bagfuls. I'm grateful that we are able to give back to those that
need it. Because if it were us in need, I'd sure hope someone would be there for us.
We got up early this morning, all 4 kids showered, clothed, fed and ready to hit the streets of Wisconsin Dells to finish up the last minute school shopping. Love walkin' the strip with the family. Stopped and got Marcus' ear pierced. He's been begging for it for months now. His big brother "Who is 8!" and has his done convinced him it doesn't hurt, which it doesn't and he sat there like a trooper. He did awesome. Flinched from the sound, said "Ouch." right after, when Martha (The lady that did the piercing.) twisted his new gold stud and made sure the back was on loose enough but tight so it wont fall off. As soon as he looked in the mirror he was ecstatic!! Next it's Aysia to get hers pierced again. She wants those gold hoops to look like her Mommies.
Got home after a long day of shopping and packed up the
kid's backpacks. Cooked dinner. A yummy combination of chicken and rice with green beans and corn. Kids loved it. Well, the girls got picky because I didn't season the green beans the way we normally do. Sorry lovelies, no lemon pepper tonight.
Then I got all the new clothes unpacked and
in their rightful places. All the dressers are
organized by child, top drawers are mixed. Girls wear the same size
panties and socks so no need to separate those, and so do the boys.
*WHEW!* Both the girls and boys share shirts with each other (Boy/boy
girl/girl obviously) so girls have 1 drawer with all the shirts and all
boy's shirts are hung. Each child has their own drawer with
pants/shorts/skirts(girls). I'm happy that all their clothes are
organized and put away. I need more hangers for the boys, but we're
picking those up tomorrow while we run and finish up our odds and ends.
While I finished up the little stuff, my babes spent the entire night
doing Aysia's hair. Picking, relaxing, conditioning, picking some more, style & condition? Oh god..
Lord have mercy it's a major process. Had to help rinse her hair, it's a
lot of work and my lovelies arms were tired, so I stepped in and gave
her a bit of a break while I rinsed Princesses hair the several times it needed
it. Glad I could help. Aysia is rockin' the hair though! She looks
amazing. Growing up right in front of our eyes.
All the kids are now in
bed and OUT cold. Thank you Lord Jesus. 5:30A.M. comes early and we are
seriously spent from the last few days. Off to watch a movie, snuggle a
bit and dream of the most amazing woman. Even if she is right next to
me! ♥
